Trinity offers sports for those in 5th thru 8th grade. We believe that it is important to be physical in your youth and encourage all students to participate. The sports that are offered at Trinity Lutheran School are soccer, volleyball, cheerleading, basketball and track. Trinity plays against a variety of schools throughout the Indianapolis area. Find directions to those area schools.
Soccer is offered as a fall sport to both girls and boys in 5th thru 8th grade. Currently, there is one co-ed team.
Volleyball is offered as a fall sport to girls in 5th thru 8th grade. Fifth and sixth grade girls play together on the Junior Varsity Team while the seventh and eighth grade girls play together on the Varsity Team.
Cheerleading is offered during the winter basketball season. Sixth grade girls cheer on the Junior Varsity Squad while the seventh and eighth grade girls cheer on the Varsity Squad.
Basketball is offered as a winter sport to both girls and boys in 5th thru 8th grade. There is a fifth and sixth grade Junior Varsity Boys Team as well as a fifth and sixth grade Junior Varsity Girls Team. There is a seventh and eighth grade Varsity Boys Team as well as a seventh and eighth grade Varsity Girls Team.
Track is offered as a spring sport to both girls and boys from 5th thru 8th grade . The team participates in various meets throughout the county.
Team Designations are as Follows:
- JVG – Junior Varsity Girls (5th & 6th Grades)
- JVB – Junior Varsity Boys (5th & 6th Grades)
- VG – Varsity Girls (7th & 8th Grades)
- VB – Varsity Boys (7th & 8th Grades)
Athletic Handbook and Contract
All students who participate in sports at Trinity Lutheran School as well as their parents are required to read the Athletic Handbook. After reading the handbook, both the student as well as the parent(s) must sign the Athletic Contract. Students will not be allowed to play in any games until the contract has been signed and turned into the Athletic Director.
Any student who wishes to participate in the Trinity sports program must submit a completed IHSAA Physical Evaluation Form to the Athletic Director prior to competing in any games.
