How is tuition handled?
Parents have several options: tuition may be paid in full at the beginning of the year, it may be paid biannually with the first half due at the beginning of the school year and the other half due at the beginning of the 2nd semester, or parents may enroll in a tuition management program (FACTS). FACTS automatically deducts monthly tuition payments from either a checking or savings account. The 12 month plan begins deductions in June, the 11 month plan begins in July, and the 10 month plan begins in August. All monthly payment plans end in May.
Is there a dress code?
A student’s dress is an important part of their success. This dress code can be found here.
Are there additional learning opportunities and extra-curricular activities?
Students attend Chapel once a week and each class has an opportunity to conduct Chapel for the rest of the school at least once a year. Students in grades 1-8 are members of grade level choirs that perform during worship services throughout the school year.
Some extra activities offered are: band, soccer, volleyball, basketball, scouts, spelling bee, Bible quiz, science fair, school play, etc.
Are P.E. uniforms required?
Students in grades six through eight wear uniforms for physical education classes. P.E. uniforms are available for purchase from the school office.
Is there physical education, music, and art instruction?
Early Learners through Kindergarten teach their own PE.  Grades 1-8 PE are taught by our PE teacher.  Music for the 2016-2017 school year is being taught once a week by the Indianapolis Children’s Choir.  Art instruction takes place in the classroom.
Is there a library?
Yes. Kindergarten through 8th grade classes visit our library each Friday to checkout books, magazines, and videos.
Are computers used?
The middle school students have a 1:1 Chromebook to student ratio in their classrooms. Grades K-8 use the Chromebooks for testing and special progects.  In addition, there are 25 iPads that are shared among the primary grades. Technology is used in all classes.
Is there an extended care program?
Trinity offers childcare to children who are enrolled and who are at least three years of age. The before and after school care program is called Trinity Children’s Care. It is open Monday-Friday, 7 AM-6 PM.
Also, Trinity has a full-day child care ministry for children ages 6 weeks up to 3 years of age. The day care is open Monday-Friday, 7 AM-6 PM. For more information, please call the office at (317) 897-0243.
Is there a hot lunch program?
Hot lunch is served on a daily basis. Students may also bring a cold lunch if they desire. Milk is available for purchase.
Trinity participates in the Federal Free and Reduced Lunch Program.
Is formal testing done?
The ISTEP+ exam is administered in grades three through eight. In addition, grades Kindergarten through 8th grade take the MAP (Measure of Academic Progress) test.  Students also participate in Accelerated Reading tests and Vimme math tests weekly.
What textbooks are used?
The textbooks for primary subjects are on the state adoption list.  We use the Journeys Reading curriculum and Vimme math curriculum.  The religion classes use classroom materials from Concordia Publishing House.
Are there classroom aides?
All preschool and kindergarten classes have an aide. In the primary grades aides are hired based on enrollment. Trinity also utilizes many volunteers from our congregation.
Are the teachers certified?
All of the teachers are certified teachers; 38% of our teachers hold masters degrees.
What is the maximum size of each class?
  • Tiny Treasures – 10 students
  • Early Learners – 12 students
  • Pre-Kindergarten – 16 students
  • Kindergarten – 22 students
  • Grades 1 thru 8 – 22 students
How many classes are there of each grade?
Presently there are two sessions of Pre-Kindergarten. Early Learners and Kindergarten-8th grades have one class each.
How long is the school day?
  • Kindergarten- 8th grade begin each day at 8:15 a.m. and end at 3:20 p.m.
  • The Early Learner class (3/4 year olds) begins at 8:15 a.m. and ends at 11:00 a.m.
  • The afternoon Pre-Kindergarten class begins at 12:15 p.m. and ends at 3:00 p.m.
