Human Growth and Development Parent Preview Night

The Parent Preview date for the Human Growth and Development films will be in the 8th grade classroom on Thursday, November 10, starting at 6:30 p.m.

The films will be shown to the 4th - 8th grade boys and girls, separately, with parent permission. Discussion led by personnel from the Social Health Association will follow the showing of the films at both the adult previews and the pupil programs. Parents are encouraged to attend the Parent Preview Night.

4th grade boys will see “Just Around the Corner for Boys” and 5th grade boys will see “Growing Up for Boys”. 4th grade girls will see “Just Around the Corner for Girls” and 5th grade girls will see “Everything You Should Know About Puberty for Girls”. 5th grade boys & girls, separately, will also see a film entitled “Dr. D’s Birds and Bees Video Show”. 6th grade boys & girls, separately, will watch “A Baby is Born - Fetal Development”. 7th grade boys & girls, separately, will watch “Abstinence, the Right Choice”. 8th grade boys & girls, separately, will see a presentation on sexually transmitted diseases and AIDS.

A permission slip for your child NOT to participate in the Human Growth and Development presentations was mailed to the homes of 4th - 8th grade students. If you have not returned the permission slip by Monday, November 14, your child will be required to take part in the presentations.
