I'm writing this as it continues to snow outside. Schools were closed this past week, ice covers everthing, and in spite of Puxatony Phil's prediction, Spring appears to be a long way off. At the very least all of this winter weather is a vivid reminder of who is in charge. We have such a natural inclination to fool ouselves into believing we are in control. The truth is we are not -- and crazy weather, illness, accident, loss, and death -- clearly reveal who is and who is not in charge of life. Thankfully, we can trust completely the God who is truly in charge.
